Turf Warz is a side project that got out of hand — a GPS dog walking game built by one person trying to make every walk a little more interesting.
I'm Mike Lamb, a software engineer based in Denver, Colorado. I started Turf Warz because I was walking my dog every morning and wondering why a daily routine that millions of us share felt so… inert. So I built the thing I wanted to play.
Every line of code, every map tile, every server crash at 2am — it's all me. There's no team, no investors, no roadmap committee. Just one person trying to ship a game that respects your time, your privacy, and your dog.
If something is broken, I'm the one who broke it. If something is great, you can blame my dog for the inspiration. I read every email, I fix every bug I can reproduce, and I'm slowly learning the difference between "good idea" and "good idea for now."
