Waitlist Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mike Lamb ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you join the Turf Warz waitlist. This policy applies specifically to the waitlist registration process. A separate, comprehensive privacy policy will govern the Turf Warz application upon launch.

1. Information We Collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect the following information:

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Waitlist management — to register your place, track referrals, and determine your position
• Communications — to send you a confirmation email, referral link, launch updates, and early access invitations
• Mailing list — if you opt in, to send you occasional news and updates about Turf Warz development, features, and announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any mailing list email
• Fraud prevention — to detect and prevent manipulation of the referral system using IP address data

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data may be shared only with the following:

• Email service provider (Resend) — to deliver transactional emails such as your waitlist confirmation and referral link
• Payment processor (PayPal) — if you choose to make a voluntary donation via the PayPal button on our landing page, your donation is processed entirely by PayPal. We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card number, billing address, etc.). Your use of PayPal is governed by PayPal's Privacy Policy

We will not share your email address with any third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Database access restricted to authorized personnel only
• Rate limiting to prevent automated abuse

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Mailing List

During waitlist registration, you may optionally opt in to our mailing list. If you opt in, we will use your email address to send you occasional news and updates about Turf Warz, including development progress, new features, and launch announcements.

• Opting in is entirely voluntary and is not required to join the waitlist
• You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or using the unsubscribe link included in every mailing list email
• Mailing list emails are sent via our email service provider (Resend) and are separate from transactional emails such as your waitlist confirmation
• We will not share your email address with any third parties for their own marketing purposes

6. Donations

Our landing page includes an optional PayPal donation button. If you choose to donate:

• Donations are entirely voluntary and are not required to join or maintain your position on the waitlist
• All payment processing is handled by PayPal — we do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details (card number, billing address, etc.)
• PayPal may share your name and email address with us as part of the transaction notification. We will only use this information to acknowledge your donation
• Donations are non-refundable and do not constitute a purchase of any product, service, or future access to Turf Warz
• Your use of PayPal is subject to PayPal's Privacy Policy and PayPal's User Agreement

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — You may request to know what information we hold about you
• Deletion — You may request removal from the waitlist and deletion of your data at any time
• Correction — You may request correction of inaccurate information
• Opt-out — You may unsubscribe from email communications at any time

8. Cookies and Tracking

The waitlist landing page does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. We do not track your browsing behavior. Note that the PayPal donation button may load external resources from PayPal's servers, which are subject to PayPal's own privacy practices.

9. Children's Privacy

The waitlist is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has joined the waitlist, please contact us and we will promptly delete their information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
